A warm-up for young players should focus on gradually warming up the body through light movement exercises, and then focusing a little more on the areas required to play Handball, i.e. upper body and shoulder exercises. All of the listed warm-up activities should be proceeded with some light dynamic stretching.

4. Warm up the wrists. Coming onto your hands and knees in all-fours (knees under the hips and hands under the shoulders), turn your fingers around so that your fingers are pointed towards your knees. Inhale, move your body slightly forward, moving with awareness and not pushing your body. Exhale, move back very gently. Repeat this at least four times. 5.

Handball in its present form developed in Europe in the 1920s from earlier games. The game, in its 11-man outdoor version, first appeared at the Olympics in 1936. It was subsequently dropped from the Olympics but returned as the 7-man indoor game in 1972. Women’s team handball became an Olympic sport in 1976.

Two players face each other to make a pair. They place their hands against each others hands at about shoulder height. Now they close their eyes and turn around in a circle and try to find the other players hands again, placing them as before, while continuing to keep their eyes closed. Statues. All players move about while music is playing.

Pulse-raising activities include jogging, jumping rope and exercising to music. The pulse raiser should be graduated so that there is an increase in exercise intensity over three to five minutes or more. At the end of the pulse raiser you should feel warm and ready to work out.
